What is BountyGuild and how is it different from traditional freelance boards?
Traditional platforms are flooded with hundreds of generic bot bids. BountyGuild uses protected bounty vaults for quest patrons and small refundable stakes ($2–$5) for bounty hunters. This skin-in-the-game mechanism stops AI spam and guarantees that only serious, capable hunters accept your quests.
How does the refundable staking deposit work?
When you claim or attempt a bounty, you authorize a tiny deposit (typically $2–$5, or ~5% of the reward). As soon as you submit your completed proof of work and it is approved, 100% of your deposit is refunded along with your bounty payout. If you abandon the quest or ghost an exclusive slot, the deposit is forfeited.
How do quest patrons know their money is safe?
When a patron creates a bounty, funds are deposited into a secure prize vault from their Coin Purse. Hunters know the reward is 100% funded and guaranteed, but the funds are only released to the hunter once the patron verifies and approves the submitted work.
What are the different quest modes (Race vs. Claim & Lock vs. Raid)?
• Fast Race: Capped at a few hunters simultaneously (e.g. up to 3). The first verified working submission wins the entire reward. Great for quick research, sourcing links, or bug fixes. • Claim & Lock: One hunter reserves the quest exclusively for a countdown timer. • Guild Raid: High-value quests designed for multi-person teams/guilds (e.g., Designer + Dev + Copywriter) with automated payout splits.
What happens if a patron ignores my submitted work?
We have a built-in 72-hour auto-release protection. If a patron fails to review or respond to a submitted quest within 72 hours, the bounty reward is automatically released to the hunter and their refundable deposit is returned.
What types of quests can I post on BountyGuild?
Anything with a clear outcome!
