Knowledge Base & FAQ

How BountyGuild Works

Everything you need to know about our high-trust bounty board, refundable anti-spam staking, protected escrow, and team raids.

1

Post & Secure Escrow

Posters write what they need and fund the reward. Money sits safely in escrow so solvers know they will get paid.

2

Stake Deposit & Solve

Solvers place a tiny refundable deposit ($2–$5) to claim the task. This filters out bots and proves genuine commitment.

3

Approve & Payout

Submit proof of completion. Upon approval, the bounty is released and the solver's deposit is 100% refunded!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is BountyGuild and how is it different from freelance boards?

Traditional freelance platforms (Upwork, Fiverr) are flooded with hundreds of generic bot bids. BountyGuild uses guaranteed escrow for task posters and small refundable deposits ($2–$5) for task solvers. This skin-in-the-game mechanism stops AI spam and guarantees that only serious, capable people take on your tasks.

How does the refundable staking deposit work?

When you claim or attempt a task, you authorize a tiny deposit (typically $2–$5, or ~5% of the bounty). As soon as you submit your completed proof of work and it is approved, 100% of your deposit is refunded along with your bounty payout. If you abandon the task or submit spam, the deposit is slashed to compensate the poster for wasted time.

How do task posters know their money is safe?

When a poster creates a bounty, funds are deposited into a secure Stripe-backed escrow vault. Solvers know the money is real and guaranteed, but the funds are only released to the solver once the poster verifies and approves the submitted work.

What are the different task modes (Race vs. Claim & Lock vs. Raid)?

• Fast Race: Capped at a few solvers simultaneously (e.g. up to 3). The first verified working submission wins the entire reward. Great for quick research, finding links, or bug fixes. • Claim & Lock: One solver reserves the task exclusively for a countdown timer. • Team Raid: High-value tasks designed for multi-person teams/guilds (e.g., Designer + Dev + Copywriter) with automated payout splits.

What happens if a poster ignores my submitted work?

We have a built-in 72-hour auto-release protection. If a poster fails to review or respond to a submitted task within 72 hours, the escrow reward is automatically released to the solver and the deposit is returned.

What types of tasks can I post on BountyGuild?

Anything with a clear outcome! Common categories include: • Campus & Local Errands (library pickups, coffee drops, tutoring) • Sourcing & Family (finding rare goods, local service research, photo restorations) • Tech & Code (bug hunting, API scripts, CSS fixes, scraper builds) • Design & Content (video hooks, thumbnail concepts, logo vectorization)

What are Guilds?

Guilds are teams of specialists who pool their reputation, tackle large multi-discipline "Raid" bounties together, and have payouts automatically split according to custom member rules.
